Product Owner (Cards, Virtual Cards & Mobile Apps)

Ecofinance

We are looking for the Product Owner (Cards, Virtual Cards & Mobile Apps) to join our Ecofinance team within Dyninno Group fintech division.

Business Line: EcoFinance Group – Romania
Reporting to: Head of Product Management and Business Development

EcoFinance is a fast-growing fintech delivering accessible B2C financial services worldwide. Through brands like Creditprime and Honey Loan, we offer short term loans, instalment loans and lines of credit via our online platform. With over 5 million clients across Romania, Moldova and the Philippines, EcoFinance ranks among the top ten microfinance providers by loan volume. We are now expanding our offerings into digital and virtual cards linked to our mobile apps.

As Product Owner you will lead the development of our card and virtual card offerings within our mobile app ecosystem. In line with modern product owner responsibilities, you will articulate a clear product vision, create and maintain a roadmap and backlog, and collaborate with stakeholders across design, engineering, compliance and marketing. You will take end to end ownership of the product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements through launch and iterative improvement—ensuring it meets customer needs while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy: Work with stakeholders to set a clear vision and success criteria for card issuing, virtual cards and associated mobile app features. Align the roadmap with EcoFinance’s strategic goals and communicate it to internal teams and partners.
  • Create and manage the product roadmap and backlog: Organise features, enhancements and technical tasks based on customer value, regulatory requirements and business priorities. Balance near-term improvements with long-term innovation, continually refining the backlog.
  • Lead product development and delivery: Work cross functionally to oversee end-to-end delivery. Define user stories and acceptance criteria, participate in Agile ceremonies, gather feedback at sprint reviews and iterate on product increments. Ensure timely releases and quality by partnering closely with engineering, design and QA teams.
  • Conduct research and market analysis: Understand customer needs, preferences and pain points through market research and user feedback. Analyse competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure the product remains competitive.
  • Ensure compliance and integration: Oversee integration with card networks (Visa, Mastercard), digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and processors. Manage relationships with issuing banks and service providers.
  • Monitor KPIs and profitability: Define key performance indicators—such as card activations, transaction volume, user adoption, retention and unit economics—and track them daily. Product owners are judged on outcomes (adoption, revenue impact) rather than output; adjust the product strategy accordingly to maximise profitability.
  • Stakeholder and partner management: Serve as the main point of contact for card product matters. Keep senior leadership and external partners informed about product progress and risks, host demos and training sessions, and manage expectations. Collaborate with marketing to plan product launches and with finance to forecast revenue and P&L.
  • Iterate and improve: Use A/B testing and analytics tools to test concepts, monitor user behaviour and refine features. Continuously iterate based on data, user feedback and business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • 4–5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Manager in fintech or financial services.
  • Proven experience in card issuing, virtual or prepaid card products and mobile banking apps. Handson knowledge of card processing, EMV contact/contactless, VISA/MasterCard scheme requirements, 3D Secure, tokenization and integration with digital wallets.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles, backlog management and stakeholder alignment.
  • Ability to define and track product KPIs and profitability metrics; data driven decision making.
  • Excellent English language communication, negotiation and leadership skills, ability to manage cross functional teams and external partners.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (JIRA, Confluence), analytics platforms and A/B testing.

There is no one-size-fits-all here, we are quite flexible and use an individual approach with every Candidate we meet. While getting familiar during our interview, we try to understand where your working experience, professional skills and future contribution to the company can be applied within our multiple business projects.

With us you will have:

  • English language courses in the office.
  • Meal tickets (70 Lei for each working day).
