About the Company:
ArtDock is an independent game studio based in Chișinău.
We’re a small, ambitious team passionate about making games that are fun, accessible, and full of personality. And yes — our office cat still judges every line of dialogue.
We’re currently looking for a Game Writer to help us craft rich worlds, memorable characters, and stories players actually care about.

What You’ll Do:

• Build the story framework, game world, lore, and main narrative arcs;
• Create compelling characters — their backstories, motivations, and internal conflicts;
• Write dialogues, item descriptions, cutscenes, quest texts, and environmental storytelling;
• Ensure logical consistency and strong narrative flow across all story branches;
• Explore how the narrative is conveyed through gameplay and mechanics;
• Adapt the script to meet technical, artistic, and game design limitations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a game writer with strong writing skills;
• A portfolio of finished projects, original stories, characters, and dialogues;
• Ability to craft nonlinear interactive narratives with meaningful choices and consequences;
• Solid understanding of storytelling structure, character arcs, and dramatic tension;
• Original thinking — we value fresh ideas, not derivative ones;
• Deep gaming experience and the ability to analyze narrative in games;
• Understanding of game design principles and how story integrates with gameplay;
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
• Strong communication and collaboration — you’re part of the whole process, not a lone wolf.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with game engines, especially Unity;
• Experience with tools like Ink or Yarn Spinner (or similar narrative scripting systems).
