What you’ll work on:
- Reliability & scalability – design, build, and automate systems for maximum uptime, low latency, and efficient performance across AWS.
- Infrastructure as Code – create and maintain Terraform modules, Docker images, Vault secrets, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Observability – define metrics, logs, and traces; craft runbooks; lead incident response and post-mortems.
- Automation & debt reduction – script in Python, Go, and Bash to eliminate manual toil, resolve scaling bottlenecks, and modernise legacy components.
- Mentorship & documentation – coach teammates on best practices, improve customer-facing runbooks, and advocate for continuous improvement.
- Technical strategy – drive architecture decisions, set reliability roadmaps, and influence cross-team engineering direction.

What we expect:
- 5+ years in SRE/DevOps, incl. 2+ years using Terraform on AWS in production.
- Strong OOP skills in Python or Go; solid Bash/Unix administration.
- Hands-on with Docker, Vault, ProxySQL, GitLab CI/CD and modern observability stacks.
- Working knowledge of MySQL (or another RDBMS) performance and HA concepts.
- Proven incident-response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and mentor junior engineers.
- Bonus: experience reducing technical debt, streamlining processes, and guiding large-scale architectural changes.
