Supervisor

As a supervisor, I had multiple responsibilities such as:

• Setting up Rotas for all the drivers that I had working in my area
• Supervising all the drivers and manual workers
• Supervising all the coldstores, and making sure all the products were stored properly and in the correct coldstores
• Rotating products on a daily basis and in date order so packhouse will always use the products based on date order.
• Organising tractor drivers so all deliveries will be unloaded in a timely and orderly manner so tractors will be able to go back in the field as soon as possible.
• Assisting my manager with day-to-day duties, attending meetings and discussing plans ensuring that the business is ran without any issues
• During my time as a supervisor, I gained more knowledge around TMS (time managing system), organising people and making sure everything is run properly without any delays, organising lorries collections and deliveries as well, communicating with the transport office in regards to any issues we had. I also have been trained as a Fire Marshall and First Aider.

Machine Operator

Since I have been at T.H.Clements I have had a number of added responsibilities. I entered the business as a Machine Operator but I have trained in other areas too.
I started working for the company in the Semi-Prep area. In this role, I was responsible for the general day-to-day running of the machines. I had to change the film, ensure the quality of the raw material was within specification and accurately keep track of stocks on and off the line.
I have also trained in different areas of the factory. I have had training in the weighbridge and I understand the process around field cut products coming onto the site. I have had training in the print room in the factory. Through this, I gained more knowledge around date coding/supplier codes for each product.
I have also had team leader training in the packhouse and from time to time I cover lines when the packhouse team leader role if they are short-staffed. I have also spent some time in intake to cover holidays. Whilst I was in intake I was responsible for the booking in of deliveries and field cut product. I was also able to move product myself as I am forklift certified.

Line Leader

During my time with Flamingo, I worked in 2 different team leading positions.
The first was a labelling team leader – this role involved ensuring that the product was available and ready to load onto the lorries for distribution.
The second was a production team leader – this role involved working in the packhouse and managing the staff. Ensuring that the lines were ready for the start of the day's production, training and helping the staff to be as efficient as possible.

At Quest, I was responsible for managing the agency workers at different sites. I would arrange the transport and inductions for new starters. I would also arrange work patterns for different businesses that we worked for to ensure that we kept a steady supply of quality staff going fairly to all of our customers.
