We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Analyst to own and manage our Snowflake data warehouse. This is a hybrid role that combines deep technical skills in data engineering with a sharp analytical mindset.

You will be responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to analysis and visualization. You will build robust automation, develop insightful BI tools using Streamlit, and play a critical role in the risk management of our Trading Platform.

An Expert in SQL with extensive Snowflake experience and a passion for using Python to build elegant data solutions. You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives on taking ownership and making a tangible impact.

What you'll do:

Snowflake Data Warehouse Ownership: Act as the primary owner for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our Snowflake data warehouse
ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Build, scale, and maintain robust and reliable data pipelines to ingest data from various sources, including third-party vendors and internal systems
Automation & Alerting: Develop automation on top of our data infrastructure, including setting up Snowflake Tasks for scheduled jobs and creating automated alerting systems to monitor data quality and system health
BI & Analytics Development: Design, build, and deploy interactive dashboards, reports, and data applications using Streamlit and Python to provide actionable insights to business stakeholders
Risk Management: Collaborate closely with the trading and risk teams to analyze platform data, identify potential risks, and develop data-driven models and reports to support risk mitigation strategies
Data Integrity & Governance: Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, integrity, and security across the organization
Performance & Cost Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize Snowflake performance and costs, ensuring an efficient and scalable data architecture

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in a Data Engineering or Data Analyst role with a focus on data warehousing and automation
Expert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
Deep, hands-on experience with Snowflake, including a strong understanding of its architecture, features (e.g., Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Zero-Copy Cloning), and best practices
Strong programming skills in Python, particularly with data analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and web application development using Streamlit
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable ETL/ELT workflows
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and own projects from start to finish

Good-to-Haves:

A solid understanding of financial markets, trading principles, or risk management in a financial context
Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with major AWS infrastructure
