Safety Claims specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Claims Management:

• Handle cargo and accident claims from initiation to resolution, including communication with insurers, brokers, and involved parties.
• Investigate claims to determine liability, gather documentation, and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely closure and minimize financial impact.

Incident Reporting:

• Log and analyze incidents, identifying patterns and recommending preventive measures.

Driver Support:

• Provide guidance and support to drivers regarding safety practices and accident reporting procedures.
• Conduct follow-up meetings with drivers involved in incidents to ensure understanding and compliance.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with dispatchers, operations, and legal teams to address safety concerns and claims.
• Assist in creating and updating policies and procedures related to safety and claims.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in transportation safety, claims management, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
