2023–Present Freelance Software Developer, Berlin, DE

• Developed a bookmarking browser extension in vanilla JS with a focus on low First Input Delay (FID), rendering 4k+ items in under 700ms.
• Utilized IndexedDB for storage and implemented a full-text search feature.
• Built a companion Node.js app with a REST API, secured using two-way SSL for mutual authentication.
• Developed a partner Android application (Java) for on-the-go bookmark management.
• Built a Firefox browser extension to detect and control media playing in other tabs, replicating and enhancing Chrome's native functionality.

Projects

2024 Resilient Remote Job Monitor, Side Project

• Developed a web application for running jobs on Vast.ai instances, automating the selection and management of cloud resources.
• Extensively leveraged the Vast.ai REST API to programmatically search and filter machine templates and hosting offers based on user-defined criteria.
• Built a PHP worker that provisions instances, launches jobs via SSH, and continuously monitors execution by streaming log files in real-time.
• Implemented a fault-tolerant monitoring mechanism to recover from network interruptions, and used Server-Sent Events (SSE) to deliver live status updates to the client.
